Incredible 2nd week of deer season. We appreciate all the loyal customers trusting Artistic Taxidermy with your trophy buck.
We are pretty good but I will admit, there are shops out there with more talent. We will bury them with work ethic.Long days today= faster turnaround later.
Oh deer! I'm headed back north I hope I didn't miss anyone... If I did get it in a freezer.
You can get a lot done with a great team! Richmond pickup tomorrow at dollar general in Richmond. If everything goes right 1130,,,,1230 I will be headed back north to Detroit lakes. Please have an envelope with...name, address, phone number, DNR number, pose wanted for the deer and a$500 deposit. Thanks message me if you're not on the list.320 333-1476.If you need to drop off at the shop Sarah Linn will be around and caping deer .
Important notice! For all of my cold spring/Richmond clients I will be making a run to Richmond next week. Depending on weather and chaos up here it will be Monday or Tuesday. Please message me, so I can put you on the list. I don't want to miss anyone. 320 333-1476ThanksPlease share!
If your cape is outside in the rain, it's getting ruined. If it's inside where it is warm and not frozen it's rotting. Get them in here so they can get fleshed and salted, and you can have a mount to be proud of.
An incredible start to the gun season. The entire team here at Artistic Taxidermy has worked hard the last 3 1/2 days to make sure all deer are caped, fleshed and salted. Thanks to Sarah Linn Luke Jensen and all of the Linn kids for chipping in.
Lots of clients asking about a Richmond area pickup. As of now it's looking like next week Tuesday at the dollar general in Richmond. The exact time I will nail down next week but my guess would be late morning to around noon. Thanks
Text my cell 320 333-1476 the sooner we get those capes off and salted the better the mount. 😉 Time, heat and moisture are what affects the the hair follicles causing slippage.
Employee of the month! Autumn Rain has taken over the bear grooming responsibilities in the shop and has done a fantastic job. Each bear leaves with the scent as if it was fresh out of the shower. Shampooed and conditioner.
Another Beautiful bull finished.Just a heads up we will no longer be taking anymore bear in. If you have a bear and you want something done with it, contact me. We have gotten swamped lately and in order for us to keep that reasonable turnaround time we have to draw a line at some point. This is just regarding bear.Bring on the elk, moose, deer, and antelope.
I've gotten several messages for things needing to get dropped off. With the second client being successful yesterday, I am in route home. It's been a great week!
I'm still currently out in Idaho guiding, be back early next week. If you have something urgent, get a hold of Sarah Linn.
FYI...I will be hard to get a hold of for the next week.Better get a hold of Sarah Linn if you need to get in the shop.😉
With ND archery deer opening up and MN bear we have gotten a lot of messages with people wanting to drop off critters. With that in mind, we require half down at a minimum. If you don't have the 💵 for half down, better bag it and freeze it. I repeat we require a minimum of half down at drop off.Cash , check, or Venmo
Our goal is to try and get last years deer all wrapped up by September 1. It doesn't happen every year but We usually get them done in time. We worked our butts off this year and finished around 115 deer shoulder mounts from 2023.I worked all day today and finished the best buck of last year. This beautiful Kansas beast.Text me if you're wanting to drop something off.I may or may not be real easy to get a hold of the next two months.🤔😉My compass is showing west!
Options for your bear.Approx price depending on habitat and mouth options Pack mount-$1400Shoulder $9551/2 body $2500Full body $5000Rugs $275 a foot...5 1/2 minimum
Boom! The last buck of 2023 just got mounted today. Now we have a couple weeks of dry time. A lot of finish work coming up. Looks like we should hit our goal of September 1st. That's less than a 10 month turnaround.
Every once in a while there is a project that means more. A project that has more weight. A project that pulls you into the reality of the customer, and consumes your thoughts while working on it. A project that demands more detail, a project that reminds you of what's important. I only hope I've done it justice.
We are scheduled to have all 2023 deer and bear done before September 1. I know some are anxious to get their trophy back and we work our tails off to keep that short turnaround and get them back to you under a year. Most of the time under 10 months. Time to get those cameras out and start shooting, the season will be upon us before you know it.Thanks for being patient
14 hour day yesterday and 4 this morning and we got this one Roughed in. Now dry time.
