Getting a few fish done around here.
Still taking in deer here at the Detroit lakes shop.
There is a closing date soon on the DL property.
Meet Niswi Sky , Employee of the month.
He's been my left hand man. Caping nearly every deer and cutting every set of antlers off of skull. And salt clean up. ![]()
All I do is drink coffee, point, and yell at him when he's slacking.
I made here early, for the deer pickup. Text if you're coming and if you're gonna be late. As soon as we are done I'm gonna turn and burn.
They're stacking up! ![]()

Thanks for all the business.
I know we all want a deal.
This is what your money pays for, first off, a nice well put together mount that you can be happy with. A decent turnaround time
Electric for the shop
Insurance
Gas for furnace
All other random supplies
Clothes for my kids
Food for my kids
Adventures for my kids
Learning opportunities for my kids
All other random supplies for my kids so that I can mold them into good humans.
A date night out with my wife every 3 months
Jujitsu gi's for my wife
And all random supplies it takes for my wife to raise a family.
So everyone that asks for a deal,
These are the things that I would be taking away from by giving you a deal.
I appreciate all the business
Thanks
Good luck hunters. I might actually try and hunt for a while tomorrow. Niswi will be manning the shop , he's an expert at caping off the skull. He will be available, best to text my cell. 320 333-1476.
Here is a look at the new Bemidji shop nearing completion, sent from Sarah.
Niswi and I are getting a lot of dirt work done and getting lots of grass and rye planted around the new shop. The bemidji location is coming along.
Walking the trails, building forts, tapping maple trees, chasing squirrels, hunting deer and turkeys.
The smiles, the screams, the laughter. I hear and see them all. Great memories made.
Someone who can see the benefits of making memories like these needs to buy our property.![]()

When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted.
We haven't been posting a lot on Facebook as of late, we have just been grinding. Lots of things getting done around here.
We are on schedule to have all the deer done by Labor day or at least put together. There may be a small handful that need finish work after that.
We are in the process of building a new shop in the bemidji area but are still working out of the Detroit lakes studio.
Please be patient it's been an interesting year. If you end up wanting to drop something off please message or text me. I do have a hunt scheduled in September. So freeze things ASAP if you can't get a hold of me right away.
Thanks for all the loyal customers.
Lots of stuff gonna be getting done around here. Please pick your critter up ASAP.
Thanks
Just a heads up every one. We are moving locations, this may affect our turnaround time slightly. We have always worked hard to get things done within that 10 months. We will be building a new shop in the bemidji area. We'll make it convenient for the local loyal customers here in Detroit Lakes with monthly drop offs and pickups. Or you can always make the drive up north to the new shop. The plan is to close the end of June. And I will be without an efficient shop for a month or two so please be patient. If you get a call that your critter is done please come promptly. I want to keep shop clean of lingering items. Thanks for all the loyalty. Looking forward to continuing the work for all the local clients. We'll make it work.

Hey everyone lots of stuff getting done around here. The show room is getting full and a bunch more that need finish work.
If you've been contacted regarding your item being done , please make arrangements to pick up.
Thanks
We have not been on Facebook much lately and trying not to be distracted by things that don't really matter...
I've had a lot of people messaging and asking about progress on their critter.
We are working away, putting in the hours in the shop while also juggling day to day activities with the family.
Please be patient.
Thanks
We are currently not taking any more......![]()
birds ![]()
Coyotes, bobcats, etc/ smallgame![]()
Euro mounts unless the cape is salvageable
We could use a couple more good capes![]()
New customers for deer shoulder mounts.
If you have contacted us about a deer, we will work with you on that.![]()
The Fish will be evaluated, but it's possible we will not be taking anymore or possibly only a few.![]()
We appreciate the business, but in order for us to keep our goal of September 1 turnaround, we have to draw a line somewhere.
Thank you
Been a great season, we are nearly filled up.
We will be turning away business at some point.
Room for a few more up there, but that's about it.🔨🔨🔨🔨🔨
Incredible 2nd week of deer season. We appreciate all the loyal customers trusting Artistic Taxidermy with your trophy buck.
We are pretty good but I will admit, there are shops out there with more talent.
We will bury them with work ethic.
Long days today= faster turnaround later.
Oh deer! I'm headed back north I hope I didn't miss anyone... If I did get it in a freezer.
You can get a lot done with a great team! ![]()

320 333-1476.
If you need to drop off at the shop Sarah Linn will be around and caping deer .
Important notice! For all of my cold spring/Richmond clients I will be making a run to Richmond next week. Depending on weather and chaos up here it will be Monday or Tuesday. Please message me, so I can put you on the list. I don't want to miss anyone. 320 333-1476
Thanks
Please share!
If your cape is outside in the rain, it's getting ruined. If it's inside where it is warm and not frozen it's rotting. Get them in here so they can get fleshed and salted, and you can have a mount to be proud of.
An incredible start to the gun season. The entire team here at Artistic Taxidermy has worked hard the last 3 1/2 days to make sure all deer are caped, fleshed and salted. Thanks to Sarah Linn Luke Jensen and all of the Linn kids for chipping in.
Lots of clients asking about a Richmond area pickup. As of now it's looking like next week Tuesday at the dollar general in Richmond. The exact time I will nail down next week but my guess would be late morning to around noon. Thanks
Text my cell 320 333-1476 the sooner we get those capes off and salted the better the mount. 😉 Time, heat and moisture are what affects the the hair follicles causing slippage.
Employee of the month! Autumn Rain has taken over the bear grooming responsibilities in the shop and has done a fantastic job. Each bear leaves with the scent as if it was fresh out of the shower. Shampooed and conditioner.
Another Beautiful bull finished.![]()
Just a heads up we will no longer be taking anymore bear in. If you have a bear and you want something done with it, contact me. We have gotten swamped lately and in order for us to keep that reasonable turnaround time we have to draw a line at some point.
This is just regarding bear.
Bring on the elk, moose, deer, and antelope.
I've gotten several messages for things needing to get dropped off. With the second client being successful yesterday, I am in route home. It's been a great week!
I'm still currently out in Idaho guiding, be back early next week. If you have something urgent, get a hold of Sarah Linn.
FYI...I will be hard to get a hold of for the next week.
Better get a hold of Sarah Linn if you need to get in the shop.😉
With ND archery deer opening up and MN bear we have gotten a lot of messages with people wanting to drop off critters.
With that in mind, we require half down at a minimum.
If you don't have the 💵 for half down, better bag it and freeze it.
I repeat we require a minimum of half down at drop off.
Cash , check, or Venmo
Our goal is to try and get last years deer all wrapped up by September 1. It doesn't happen every year but We usually get them done in time.
We worked our butts off this year and finished around 115 deer shoulder mounts from 2023.
I worked all day today and finished the best buck of last year. This beautiful Kansas beast.
Text me if you're wanting to drop something off.
I may or may not be real easy to get a hold of the next two months.🤔😉
